Al-Futtaim are the exclusive distributors for Honda and Toyota in the Emirates. As part of their commitment to recycling and sustainability in the UAE, they partnered with Mil-tek to help manage the growing volume of waste.
Better Waste Handling and Environmental Awareness
The Al-Futtaim Group, founded over 70 years ago, is one of the most well-established corporations in the lower Gulf region. It collectively operates over 40 companies bearing the Al-Futtaim name. Al-Futtaim are the exclusive distributors for Honda and Toyota in the Emirates.
Their facility in Al Badia combines a state of the art showroom, a spare parts facility and a repair centre.
As part of their commitment to recycling and sustainability in the UAE, Al-Futtaim partnered with Mil-tek to help manage the growing volume of waste cardboard, packaging and general waste that was accumulating on-site.
The solution
Al-Futtaim installed a Mil-tek 305 baler and an X-Press 200 waste compactor in their new Showroom in Al Badia. The recyclable cardboard and plastic is now accumulated and baled before collection and the mixed waste is significantly reduced before collection.
These changes have improved the workflow, and present a positive environmental message to staff and customers alike.
