The Mil-tek H501 is one of the most effective hydraulic balers on the market making bales of up to 450kg that fit perfectly on a standard pallet. The baler is designed to make extremely dense, recycle-ready bales of either cardboard or plastic that can be then sent directly to mills for final recycling. The extra long piston stroke and large door opening allows for loading of large volumes of material including whole cardboard boxes, soft HDPE plastic, PET plastic bottles or packaging foam.Bales from the Mil-tek H501 can be tied using regular 19mm banding or steel wire. The H501 can also be adapted to bale aluminium cans and PET plastic bottles. Specially designed attachments convert a mill-size baler into a machine capable of making bales of PET bottles upwards of 248kg and bales of cans over 160kg, containing approx. 10,000 cans.
ABC Lavpris are a supermarket chain in Denmark. They use a Mil-tek H600 to bale large volumes of cardboard and plastic packaging waste.
Zain Al Madina is a waste collection service in Dubai. They use a Mil-tek H500 to bale cardboard, plastic and expandable polystyrene, amongst other material.
Installation is carried out by a Mil-tek technician. Your H501 Baler will be installed in the most optimal position to facilitate workflow.
Fill the chamber with cardboard or plastic and close the door. Once the door is securely closed, the machine is activated and the minimizing has begun.
The H501 Mill Size Baler and H600 Mill Size Baler are similar in size and footprint, but the H600 Mill Size Baler handles higher volumes and produces denser bales. What you need to know is the approximate amount of waste you generate every day, in what stream and in what sizes it comes. This basic information combined with your business set-up forms the basis for evaluating which model machine you need.
Your internal working processes and the data available on your waste streams will provide you with that answer. Together with Mil-tek, we will ensure you find the optimal spot in your workplace.
The machine can stand either indoors or out - most important is that you place the machine so that you sort your waste at source. If you place the machine outside it must be under a roof. Be aware that cold weather conditions can influence the performance of the machine. Your Mil-tek consultant will help analysing the best place to install the machine.
Most Mil-tek machines are pneumatic rather than hydraulic, and as such are extremely quiet. The H501 and H600 are the only hydraulic machines in the range, and as such have a noise level of 70 dB, similar to that of a vacuum cleaner.
For industries baling large quantities of aluminium cans and PET plastic bottles, the H501 can be specially adapted for this purpose.
The added panels allow for easy loading of large volumes of lose cans and bottles, which can then be baled as normal.
The wide door and deep chamber of the Mil-tek H501 baler means large volumes of cardboard can be baled without the need for breaking down or flat packing. The strength of the machine means that it can cater for many types of material, including foam, polystyrene and hard plastic such as PET bottles.
Food processing facilities handle large volumes of plastic and packaging in their production process. The H501 Mill Size Baler can be installed indoors, to improve workflow and logistics. The underside is designed so that the machine can also be easily moved using an appropriately sized forklift.
