60 tons of pressing force
handles high volume of waste
Large-scale recycling solution
Revenue generation from baled material
One machine to compact cardboard and plastic
The Mil-tek HZT600 is a horizontal baler with a pressing force of upwards of 60 tons. With a wide loading funnel, it is designed for continuous use throughout the day. The fast loading and quick compaction cycle makes the HZT600 ideal for locations that produce large amounts of cardboard, plastic and packaging waste for recycling. A HZT600 operating at full capacity is capable of producing more than two recycle-ready bales of cardboard or plastic per hour. Recycle-ready (Mill size) bales can be sent directly to recycling mills for processing and recycling. The large, cubic-metre funnel opening allows for cardboard boxes or plastic packaging to be continuously and safely loaded, where it is continuously pressed by the hydraulic pistons and pressing plate. A pressing cycle of just 28 seconds ensures waste can continuously be loaded into the machine. The machine has an inbuilt sensor that can detect if waste is being loaded, and will automatically continue the pressing cycle. The sensors will also stop automatically once all the packaging waste has been compacted. The high pressing force and the speed of the HZT600 horizontal baler makes it ideal for businesses that handle high volumes of waste cardboard, waste plastic, and waste packaging. Businesses such as logistics and distribution centres, packaging warehouses, recyclers and printing companies typically handle large volumes of bulky waste material, and horizontal waste baling machines allow them to do this with optimal efficiency. The bales from a HZT600 baler are tied using Easy Loop steel wire ties, that easily link together and lock into place. The bale is then ejected via an automated bale-out process. Bales produced can be upwards of 450kg in weight depending on the material used, and can be easily stacked and stored on standard European pallets.

A Mil-tek technician will guide the installation and training process. The HZT600 covers 7.5 square metres and requires a 3-phase electrical connection.
The open-top design allows for waste to be continuous loaded as it goes through a pressing cycle. The machine has a sensor that detects the presence of waste that in turn controls the cycle.
The machine has an indicator to determine when to bale out. EasyLoop Steel wires are fed through channels around the bale, and the machine has an automated bale-ejection mechanism.
Tons! The open top allows continuous feeding of waste boxes or plastic. If continuously loaded and operating optimally, the HZT600 can make up to 2 450kg bales per hour. That's approximately 16 bales per working day, 80 bales per week, totalling around 36 tons of waste.
You could, but we do not recommend it. In order to maximise the quality of the baled material, and maximise the cost you can sell it to recyclers for, Mil-tek recommends that you bale cardboard and plastic seperately.
If you handle mixed quantities of each material, one of experts can advise you on a suitably smaller machine to bale the other material.
The HZT600 is power by 3 phase, 32A. It has a noise level of 75 db(A). For more information about the technical specifications of the machines, please see below, or consult your machine's serial plate.
Mil-tek uses EasyLoop™ Wire Ties to tie bales from a horizontal baler. The HZT600 machine features easy-to-use channels that allow you to feed the wire ties around the bale.
For more information on how these work, see the Product in Use section below.
A HZT600 strategically installed in a recycling facility becomes an integral part of the working process. The fast cycle and continuous loading allow for rapid compacting and up to two recycle-ready bales per hour.
The open top can be adapted to automate a continuous flow of waste cardboard, maximizing the speed and efficiency of the operation.
Logistics and distribution centres process huge amounts of plastic and cardboard packaging as good as received and distributed. Many goods go through multiple layers of packaging that changes and is repackaged through the process.
A HZT600 paired with another large scale baler ensures that this packaging material has minimal interference with the working environment.
Large supermarkets handle a huge volume of packaging waste from consumer goods, food and other perishable items. A HZT600 is the ideal baler to appropriately handle large volumes of mixed recyclable waste.
Easi Loop steel wires and an automated piston ensure the bale.out process can easily be managed by regular staff.
