The company generates huge amounts of waste consisting of trimming waste, cutting waste and other packaging waste materials. For a long time though, Emirates Printing Press has been leaders in the ongoing transformation of the printing and packaging industry toward a circular economy, working to reduce, redesign and recycle the materials used in all processes.
Waste compacting procedures that are clean and Lean
The company uses a Baler Model 2306, which has been installed within their production area. The 2306 is the old version of an A406 baler.
The waste is compacted at the source and production efficiency has therefore increased a lot. Since staff do not have to take waste outside, several times a day, the company now follows a more Lean and clean compacting process, which frees up both time and costs.
