Kempinski Hotel Ajman is a luxury hotel in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. Built in 1998 and situated just 25 km from Dubai international Airport, Kempinski Hotel Ajman is the flagship property of the Kempinski Group in the region of India, the Middle East and Africa.
The Emirate Ajman features a white private beach on the coast of the Persian Gulf, boasts 11 food and beverage outlets and offers sea views throughout the hotel. The hotel also has six banquet rooms, four outdoor venues, a fitness centre and two spas.
By virtue of a busy operation, the hotel generates a large quantity of packaging waste which was placed directly into skips. Transporting this waste to the skip area took up a significant amount of time and space.
The four skips were collected daily, and twice on weekends, at a significant cost.
Mil-tek installed a Model 305 baler. The waste is now baled and recycled, which saves staff time, saves staff energy and reduces handling costs.
They now have three skips which are collected just twice a week, and generate revenue by selling the baled waste to a local recycler.
The machine had paid for itself in 6 months.
